These photographs of Tad Lincoln were chosen for a reason. Different ages, camera angles, lighting, hairstyles and even photographic touch-ups show just how dramatically the same person can appear to change from one image to the next.
A camera can lie, especially when it’s supposed to.
Maybe Tad Lincoln simply had a lot of look-alikes. Or maybe the explanation isn’t so innocent. Decide for yourself.
I love this photo for so many reasons. Look closely and you can see there slight projection of his front teeth, another striking similarity to Billy the Kid.
He is even sporting a pinky ring…
I inadvertently caught a glimpse of what the touch-up mark on his mouth was hiding. Interesting teeth. Looking closely at Tad’s mouth, you can see the silhouette of eerily similar teeth.
There’s something about the eyes and the mouth that’s hard to ignore.
The strikingly similar facial structure and intensity of the eyes are difficult to overlook. Two portraits that invite a second look.
The resemblance is uncanny. They could almost pass for twins.
Side note: The unusually large hand in the photograph on the right is likely due to perspective distortion, as its position closer to the camera makes it appear disproportionately large.
Another striking example of photo distortion. Notice how much larger the front hand appears compared to the other. Even more intriguing, the index fingers in both photographs appear to pint down in nearly identical fashion.
I don’t know what’s more compelling: how perfectly the photo overlay lines up, or those unmistakable two front teeth.
Look at those long, well formed fingers…
I had AI remove the facial hair on this one.
Notice the scar from the cleft palate.
The resemblance is undeniable. Add the long neck, sloping shoulders, and the similarities become even harder to ignore.
And Finally...
I thought this was the perfect photo to introduce what comes next.
If you’ve made it this far, there’s a good chance this face looks strangely familiar. And if you recognize the resemblance, you may think you already know where this is headed.
