I wouldn’t think of a better way to open the Conspiracy Theories page than with Brushy Bill Roberts, the man who stepped out of obscurity claiming to be none other than the legendary outlaw Billy the Kid.

History largely dismissed him as an imposter. But not everyone was convinced, I certainly wasn’t. 

But I’m not here to retell the Brushy Bill Story or convince you that his claim was true. Because what if we’ve been asking the wrong question all along?
